De cilinders kunnen gebruikt worden voor het pneumatisch dempen van een beweging, zoals bewegingen met lucht of vacu\u00fcm. Ze zijn ideaal voor het uitoefenen van een precieze kracht, een herhaalbare beweeg- of tegenwichtskracht, het uitoefenen van een zachte of precieze vasthoud- of knijpkracht (dit kan zo licht zijn als een paar gram) en voor bediening met een uniforme beweging. Deze wrijvingsloze cilinders zijn geschikt om iets langzaam maar vloeiend te bewegen. Ook hebben ze een brede temperatuur range. Dit alles bij elkaar zorgt ervoor dat ze een brede range van toepassingen hebben.<\/p>\n<p>Wanneer je dus een precieze kracht wilt over brengen en kunnen snelle toepassingen realiseren. Dit wordt gerealiseerd door een koolstof of RVS zuiger in een Pyrex glasbuis.
