There are different types of electric cylinders in distribution. The most common types are described below.<\/p>\n\n

Screw spindle actuators<\/h3>\n\n

This type of actuator works with a spindle that moves a bolt back and forth, by rotating the spindle. A piston rod is attached to the bolt, which can move both inwards and outwards.<\/p>\n\n

Actuator with integrated motor, 230v-460v<\/h3>\n\n

A type of actuators with integrated motor. The main advantage, being that no external motor needs to be connected to the cylinder. This makes the cylinder more compact in terms of installation and even better regulatory.<\/p>\n\n

Moving coil actuator<\/h3>\n\n

As the name suggests, this type of cylinder works with a moving coil. The actuator can operate at both high and low speed.
High speeds can be achieved due to the low movable mass.
Moreover, it's optional to have a linear and rotary movement, within one actuator.<\/p>\n\n

Electric rodless cylinder<\/h3>\n\n

The rodless cylinder can easily be installed in a more compact space due to the absence of a rod. In addition, they can cope better with greater lengths and possible side loads.<\/p>\n\n
